Living Legends Foundation Celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop

On October 10, 2023, the Living Legends Foundation hosted a milestone gala at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood to celebrate 50 years of hip hop and the executives who helped shape it. Honorees like Walt "Baby" Love, Nelson George, Rocky Bucano, Ed Lover, Vernon Brown, Lionel Ridenour, Jacqueline Rhinehart, Tracey J. Jordan and Shanti Das were recognized for their impact across radio, journalism, labels and marketing. The night was filled with gratitude, history and a call to keep pushing for equity, unity and recognition for Black music and culture.
