During ComplexCon, our interviewer Dylan Hull asked The Alchemist about a meme that had been circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter). Although The Alchemist hadn’t seen the meme or the tweet, he still engaged with the moment, asking Dylan if he could “hook it up.” Dylan responded, “I hope so,” as The Alchemist encouraged him to make it happen.
Three days later, the video was published on X. Shortly after its release, Ian Connor shared the clip with Young Thug, asking if he knew The Alchemist. Young Thug responded bluntly, saying he didn’t—and asked, “Who is this?”
Fans were left confused, unsure whether Young Thug’s response—“Who is this?”—was directed at The Alchemist or if he simply didn’t have Ian Connor’s number saved in his phone.
